While you are down with us in Cornwall, why not learn to surf? You don’t need too many excuses to get down to the beach, but surfing is another great reason to get some sand between your toes.

Through our sister company, Gwithian Academy of Surfing, we can provide you with everything that you will need to get you ‘up and riding’, making your holiday truly memorable. Gwithian Academy of Surfing has all the latest kit and experienced instructors to get you surfing in a safe and friendly environment.

The Perfect Beach for Surfing

They’ve got a surfboard to suit everyone, from Swellboards, ideal for beginners; Redback Revolution softboards, perfect for intermediates; or state of the art epoxy mals and mini-mals for more advanced surfers.

All our guests get a 20% discount at the surf school so whether you just want to hire a surfboard and wetsuit to splash around in Gwithian’s beautiful waves or enrolled on a course, we highly recommend you make the most of this opportunity.

Surfing & Accommodation Packages

We also offer combined surfing & accommodation packages giving you great value for money – and a nice warm place to clean up after a session in the sea!
Pick anything from a two day introduction to surfing to a more intensive week long course or simply ring us and build your own package.

Prices are per person and include two hours of tuition per session as well as the use of the surfboard and wetsuit for the duration of your stay so you can practise until you grow gills.

n.b. During the peak summer weeks of July and August add £60 per person to our weekly surfing tariff.
